Biography

My name is Margeaux Abeyta I am a Native American artist born in New Mexico and raised in Venice Italy. I am currently based out of Berkeley CA. Coming from a lineage of Native American artists from weavers to painters I have always been surrounded by art. In college I explored the ways in which design and traditional craft went hand in hand. From the first jacquard weaving loom to the first 1s and 0s of binary code, the system of positives and negative inputs are the same. I want to know more about our world and the way people use these determined systems of design to advance and progress.
